This is almost more a show piece than a bike to thrash around, although all parts are still in excelent working condition and it is a real treat to ride. Rare example of the advanced ‘Evolution’ model of Porsche’s late ‘90s mountain bike, presented in good condition.
Equipped with superbly engineered components from leading manufacturers such as Spengle, Hope Hydro, Sachs and Votec.
Features a lightweight carbon-fibre crankset and Shimano eight-speed cassette, along with a Sachs Plasma gear system with quartz inverse derailleur, for precise shifting in all scenarios.
Focus on lightweight components, including carbon-fibre bar ends, wheels and saddle post.
Just one from new.
A full suspension bike made by Porsche in the mid to late 1990s, the new list price was around $10,000.
Featuring state-of-the-art technology at the time; this FS Evolution is equipped with a TIG-welded aluminium tubing frame, with aluminium inverted Votec forks and a bespoke double carbon-fibre triple clamp, and a Risse Racing Astro shock absorber at the rear.
It uses carbon-fibre to deliver a rigid yet incredibly lightweight crank set and crank arms, as well as carbon-fibre for the saddle post, the three-spoke Spengle wheels, and the custom crafted bar ends.
Braking is by huge Hope Hydro discs, to provide optimal performance in all conditions.
